Ariah Mitchell Named CFL Player of the Month for November

The Alliance Fastpitch is honored to recognize Ariah Mitchell (2024) from the Central Fastpitch League (CFL) as Player of the Month for her amazing November performance. Ariah is a first baseman for Epic National 18U Smith. This month she averaged an unforgettable 0.750 with an excellent 15 runs batted in. These were recorded over Mitchell’s 7 singles, 5 doubles, triple, and 2 homeruns. She also had 2 stolen bases.

 

Ariah Mitchell’s journey in softball began with a spark of interest ignited by watching the sport on TV. Drawn in by the challenge it presented and the potential for personal and athletic growth, Ariah decided to give softball a try. It was her parents who served as the initial inspiration, encouraging her to explore the world of softball—an introduction that would eventually lead to a deep love for the sport.

 

Among Ariah’s most cherished memories in softball are the experiences of traveling the world with her teammates. These shared adventures have not only created lasting bonds but also added to the joy and camaraderie that softball brings to her life.

 

Jocelyn Alo stands out as Ariah’s favorite softball player, serving as a source of inspiration. Admiring Alo’s skills and achievements, Ariah looks up to her as a role model in the world of softball.

 

Outside the softball diamond, Ariah finds joy in spending quality time with friends and indulging in a bit of shopping—an enjoyable balance to the rigor of the sport.

 

Looking toward the future, Ariah has set ambitious goals for herself. She aspires to embark on her college softball career, embracing the challenges and opportunities it will bring. Additionally, she envisions a path toward becoming a physical therapist, reflecting her commitment to both personal and professional growth. Ariah’s overarching goal is to be the best person and athlete she can be, showcasing a dedication to excellence and continuous improvement in all aspects of her life.

 

After graduation, Mitchell will bring her talents to University of Central Oklahoma to play softball at the Division II level.
