Sawyers is a 2027 graduate competing on Ai Bandits Taegan Takayoshi and Kelsey Breer 14U from Port Orchard, WA. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. She has a consistent and competitive approach at the plate. She sees the ball extremely well and is always ready to hit.\u00a0 She is a reliable presence in the infield.\u00a0 We are very proud and think she\u2019s very deserving of this honor and look forward to seeing her continue to perform into the spring.<\/p>\n
\nQ: Can you share a little bit about your softball story?
\nSawyers: My name is Maleah and I am thirteen years old. I have played softball since I was 5 years old. I started out playing in little league and decided I loved it so much that I started select ball when I was 8. I love the game of softball and the bond I get to have with my teammates on and off the field. I love getting to grow and get better at this sport and hope to play in college.<\/p>\n
\nSawyers: I have a lot of memories playing softball but one of my favorites is when I hit two homeruns in the same game. I will also never forget my first time getting to fly to a tournament!<\/p>\n
