Kolopa Joey Pua’s softball journey begins at a young age, growing up on the field watching her older cousins and sister play. Inspired by them, her love for the game takes root early on. At the age of five, her mom signs her up for her first team, the Pink Panthers. From the very beginning, Kolopa finds joy in the sport, having fun on the field while playing alongside some of her closest friends.
One of her most cherished memories is making it onto her first All-Star team for 8U. That season becomes a standout in her life, as she enjoys the game alongside her softball sisters, creating unforgettable memories.
Her favorite player is Tiare Jennings, whose skill and dedication inspire her. Off the field, Kolopa cherishes spending time with her family. Since softball often keeps her busy, she makes it a priority to reconnect and hang out with them whenever she has the chance.
Currently, Kolopa’s goals include improving her time management skills and keeping her grades up in school. On the field, she strives for consistency in everything she does, working hard to stay focused and elevate her game.
The Alliance Fastpitch recently recognized Kolopa as Player of the Month, honoring her for her outstanding contributions to the sport and her commitment to both personal and athletic growth.
What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?
The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.
Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
