The Pacific Coast Fastpitch League (PCFL) is excited to spotlight Devon Drummond as April\u2019s Senior Player of the Month. Drummond is a shortstop, 2nd<\/sup> baseman, and catcher for 14U BSC Bengals Nichols.<\/p>\n

Drummond was great at the plate during the month of April. She had a batting average of .567, an OPS of 1.529, and a slugging percentage of .900. She also stole 10 bases and had a total of 17 hits during the month.<\/p>\n

\u201cDevin joined our team over a year ago and immediately contributed to the success of our team,\u201d said Coach Nichols.\u00a0 \u201cShe is a leader on and off the field with her excellent play, support of her teammates, and her incredible work ethic, Devin is one of the hardest working and committed softball players I have ever coached.\u00a0 She is the role model for how to play softball, with intensity, sacrifice, and outworking everyone.\u00a0 Devin has a bright future ahead of her and it’s a blessing and privilege to be a part of it.\u201d<\/p>\n

“I met the game of softball at the age of seven and instantly fell in love with the sport,\u201d Drummond said.\u00a0 \u201cI enjoy getting dirty, the energy of the game and a good sweat in the weight room.\u00a0 My love of the sport grows every day as my competition continues to grow.\u00a0 I enjoy that softball teaches me everyday life skills that I can use as well as helping my team to achieve our goals together.\u201d<\/p>\n

\u201cOne of my favorite memories was hitting a walk-off home run to help my team advance to the semi-finals of a tournament.\u201d<\/p>\n

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?
\n<\/strong>The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League\u2019s Player of the Month.<\/p>\n

Following the announcement of each League\u2019s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.<\/p>\n
