Katie Dack Recognized as the RMFL Player of the Month for April<\/strong><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"The <\/span>Rocky Mountain Fastpitch League (RMFL)<\/span><\/a> is excited to spotlight Katie Dack as the April player of the month. Dack is a catcher for Colorado Styxx 18U Gold.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

In April, Dack hit .577 in 26 at-bats. She recorded an OBP of .625, an OPS of 2.03, and a 1.385 slugging percentage. At the plate, she collected six singles, three doubles, six home runs, and 14 RBI. She also stole two bases.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cI\u2019m just excited to have fun this year with my teammates and just really enjoy the time I have left on the Colorado Styxx,\u201d Dack said.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

She started playing softball because she looked up to her older brother who played baseball and she\u2019s a catcher because of her mom. <\/span>As Dack puts it: \u201cIt\u2019s kind of a funny story. As a kid I didn\u2019t really pay attention on the field. So my mom kind of stuck me back at catcher and I\u2019ve fallen in love with it ever since that day.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\"\"<\/p>\n

She will continue her career at <\/span>Texas A&M University where she will pursue psychology. She\u2019s looking forward to \u201cmaking new friends, exploring new things and really seeing how I can test my limits as a player.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

Colorado Styxx 18U Gold is currently in <\/span>first place<\/span><\/a> in the 18U RMFL standings. In April, the team went a combined 9\u20133 at two tournaments.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

\u201cShe brings her ‘A’ game to every game we have, and she always goes 100%,\u201d Styxx head coach Pablo Severtson said. \u201cShe\u2019s definitely going to make an impact when she gets to Texas A&M.\u201d\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n

 <\/p>\n

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?<\/b><\/p>\n

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League\u2019s Player of the Month.<\/span><\/p>\n

Following the announcement of each League\u2019s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.\u00a0<\/span><\/p>\n
