Zoie Griffin Named CFL Player of the Month for March

The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Zoie Griffin (2027) from the Central Fastpitch League (CFL) as Player of the Month for her remarkable play in March 2024. Zoie Griffin, a versatile player for Oklahoma Athletics 16 Madden/Davis, excels in her primary position—pitcher. Her March stats include a .556 batting average, a .556 OBP, 5 singles, 1 double, 1 triple, and 5 RBIs. Through 7.1 innings pitched, she had 15 strikeouts and a 0.00 ERA.

Zoie Griffin’s softball journey began with a simple love for the game. Starting out in baseball as the only girl on the team, she quickly transitioned to softball at the age of four. For Zoie, softball isn’t just a sport—it’s a platform for growth and learning, teaching her valuable lessons about teamwork, resilience, and perseverance.

Among the many experiences Zoie has had on the field, one memory shines particularly bright: winning the Softball Little League World Series in 2021 with Team Oklahoma. Starting in both the semi-final and championship games, Zoie’s dedication and skill were on full display as she helped lead her team to victory.

Off the field, Zoie finds inspiration in players like Amanda Scarborough, whose insights into pitching offer valuable guidance. When she’s not playing softball, Zoie enjoys spending time at the lake with friends, soaking up the sun’s warmth and enjoying simple pleasures.

Looking ahead, Zoie has set ambitious goals for herself. She aims to increase her pitching speed to 67 mph by the end of summer and hopes to clinch a high school state championship. Recognized by the Alliance Fastpitch as Player of the Month, Zoie stands as a testament to hard work, dedication, and personal growth.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
