Softball Story (How did you get started?) Tell us about you-
I started playing softball when I was three years old but I started pitching when I was five. As I got older, my love for the game grew everyday so I started working on it more with my dad as much as I could. My parents helped me with pushing myself and teach me how to work hard at what I love to do. I played local for a little while but then it was time for me to move to a more competitive team. My coaches were Terry Clemmer (my current coach) and Billy Newton and they have helped me grow my mental and physical game to where it is now. In 2019, some of my teammates and I got nominated to play in the All American Games at the Hall of Fame. There, we met some of my current teammates and coaches and we clicked really well. From there, we merged to be the Oklahoma Athletics National and we have been together ever since. I am very grateful for everyone who has helped me become the person and athlete I am today, but most of all, I am grateful for my parents. I am also very grateful for every opportunity I have been given in my journey so far and I am excited to see what the future holds!
Favorite Softball memory-
I have had some great memories but one of my most recent ones is going to state this last year in HS. We won the state semi-final and I hit two home runs in that game, setting a state record for 3A for HRs in a single game! It was one of the best experiences I have ever been a part of!
Coaches Feedback-
“This kid has no off button. From the time she steps on the field until she steps off it’s always go. Has a heart for the game like no one I’ve seen before. Not many have the want to and fire that Goose (Hannah wells) has. She’s just as great off the field as she is on it. Kid works hard on her studies and that’s why she’s a 4.0 student. She’s a great leader and teammate.” – Coach Sliger
“Without a doubt, Hannah Wells is one of the hardest working, most self-driven, incredible leader, yet team-oriented people I have ever had the privilege of meeting. In 1 word to summarize Hannah as a person…
…winner. “ – Coach Clemmer
What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?
The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.
Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.
To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
