Harper Moore Named HFL Player of the Month for June

BY Jess Caron

The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Harper Moore (2027) from the Heart of America Fastpitch League (HFL) as Player of the Month for her remarkable play in June 2024. Harper Moore, a versatile player for Indiana Magic Gold- Moore/Carmichael, excels in multiple positions—OF. Her June stats include a 0.667 batting average, a 0.679 OBP, 15 singles, 2 doubles, 1 triple 13 RBIs, and 6 stolen bases.

Harper Moore’s softball journey begins at a very young age, with her parents coaching for the school. Harper loves attending practices and playing with the older girls, which sparks her growing passion for the sport.

A cherished softball memory for Harper is going to Colorado every year and playing one high school season with her sister. Due to their age gap, they cannot play together in travel ball, making that high school season particularly special.

Harper’s favorite player is Jayda Coleman, and she aspires to be a boss in center field just like her. Outside of softball, Harper enjoys swimming, hanging out with friends, and going shopping.

Harper’s current goals include maintaining a 4.0 GPA and continuing to grow academically. She aims to repeat her All-Conference achievements in soccer, basketball, and softball and to add new accomplishments this year. Ultimately, she strives to work hard every day to achieve her goal of becoming a D1 softball player. The Alliance Fastpitch commends Harper on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal and athletic growth.

Harper’s coach, Andrew Moore, describes her as a true 5-Tool Player who impacts the game in many facets. She supports her teammates mentally, emotionally, and physically, bringing high energy that her teammates feed off of. Harper is a multi-sport athlete, All-Conference in her freshman year for soccer, basketball, and softball. She is also a 4.0 student in the gifted and honors program, participates in the S.A.L.T Student Athlete Leadership Team, and frequently volunteers for community service. Coach Moore’s favorite memory is watching Harper win a Sectional Softball Title as a freshman with her older sister, who was a senior, marking only the second Sectional Championship in the school’s history.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
