Alexa Budner named NEFL Player of the Month for February

The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Alexa Budner (2028) from the Northeast Fastpitch League (NEFL) as Player of the Month for her remarkable play in February 2024. Alexa Budner, a versatile player for Team Pennsylvania 2010 White, excels in multiple positions—OF, 2B. Her February stats include a .643 batting average, a .667 OBP, 8 singles, 1 double, 4 RBIs, and 8 stolen bases.

Alexa Budner’s softball journey began with her introduction to T-Ball at the age of 4, marking the beginning of her passion for the sport. By the age of 8, she embarked on her first travel ball team, commencing her competitive journey in softball. Throughout her journey, Alexa’s father has been a constant source of support and guidance, often practicing with her to hone her skills, a tradition that continues to this day. Her latest accomplishment is switching from a right-handed hitter so a lefty slapper where she has seen tremendous success.

A cherished softball memory for Alexa Budner is the moment she was selected for the Select 30 team at the USSSA games. This achievement marked a significant milestone in her softball journey, highlighting her talent and dedication to the sport. Being chosen for such a prestigious team undoubtedly served as a proud and memorable moment for Alexa, symbolizing her hard work and commitment paying off.

Alexa Budner’s favorite player is Carsyn Snead, but outside of softball, she finds joy in various activities. She enjoys playing volleyball and spending time with her friends, which adds balance to her life outside of the softball field. These pursuits provide Alexa with opportunities for relaxation and socializing, complementing her passion for sports and fostering connections with others.

Alexa Budner’s current goals are centered around her aspirations in softball and being a positive influence on younger players. She aims to pursue her passion for the sport by playing softball at North Carolina (Tarheels), setting her sights on achieving success at the collegiate level. What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
