Teagan Dwyer Named NEFL Player of the Month for November

BY Jess Caron

The Alliance Fastpitch is honored to recognize Teagan Dwyer (2025) from the Northeast Fastpitch League (NEFL) as Player of the Month for her exceptional November performance. Teagan is a middle infielder for the Empire State Huskies 16u National Porcelli. This month, Dwyer batted an impressive 0.483 with 3 doubles, 2 triples and a homerun. These extra base hits pushed across 4 runs batted in, and she also snagged 3 stolen bases.

Teagan Dwyer’s love for softball is ingrained in her earliest memories, with the sport becoming a constant in her life. Inspired by her father, who played professional baseball for the Boston Red Sox, Teagan took up softball at the age of 4. Dwyer fell in love with the game and the friendships it fostered among like-minded girls. Playing alongside older teammates, Teagan admired their skill and dedication, aspiring to reach their level of excellence. The challenge, both mental and physical, drew her in, and she embraced the opportunity to contribute to her team’s success, fostering a supportive environment that fueled individual and collective growth.

A standout moment in Teagan’s softball journey occurred at the age of 8 during the Little League Allstars section final. Facing a 4-0 deficit with two outs in the final inning, Teagan’s team orchestrated a remarkable comeback, winning 6-4 and securing a spot in the state final. This experience marked Teagan’s first taste of a significant victory, leaving an indelible impression on her passion for the game.

Taylor Pleasants, a player from LSU, holds the title of Teagan’s favorite softball player. Having watched LSU play in 2021 and even having the privilege of meeting Taylor in person, Teagan is captivated not only by Taylor’s exceptional skills as a hitter and shortstop but also by her genuine and kind personality.

Beyond the softball field, Teagan finds joy in spending time with her sisters and friends, hitting the gym to stay active, and cherishing moments with her yellow lab, Piper.

Currently, Teagan has set ambitious goals for herself, aiming to maintain her 4.0 GPA in the final two years of high school, working diligently in the gym to enhance her strength, and contributing significantly to her high school softball team, with aspirations for success in the post-season. Looking toward the future, Teagan envisions playing college softball while pursuing a degree in Business/Management. Her ultimate dream is to open her own business, reflecting her entrepreneurial spirit and determination to succeed both academically and athletically.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
