Lilyanna Melendez Named RMFL Player of the Month for November

The Alliance Fastpitch is honored to recognize Lilyanna Melendez (2029) from the Rocky Mountain Fastpitch League (RMFL) as Player of the Month for her memorable November performance. Lilyanna is a second baseman for Colorado Softball Academy 12u Select. An asset at the plate, Melendez batted 0.667 with 6 singles. She also posed a threat on the bases, using her speed to gain 9 successful stolen bases.

Lilyanna Melendez’s connection to softball runs deep with a familial legacy that includes two aunts who played at the college level and several cousins sharing the same passion. Lilyanna’s journey with softball began at the age of 5, with dedicated practice starting even earlier at the age of 4. Softball isn’t just a sport for Lilyanna; it is her world, a daily commitment that she shares with family and friends. What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
