Softball Story (How did you get started? Tell us about you-
I started playing when My mom signed me up to play at 5 years old. I started pitching at the age of 7. After that I fell in love with sport and haven’t looked back.
Favorite Softball memory-
When I was in 10u we were playing in Oklahoma and this team asked to measure the mound because they said I was throwing to fast and I was to close.
Coaches Feedback-
“Macie Bryant is the top pitcher on our Impact Gold 2K9 National team that led in all statistical pitching categories. Seeing her earn Player of the month for July feels well deserved and is not at all surprising as one of her coaches.
For a 13 year old, Macie is undoubtedly at a superior level in pitching arm talent. She has a combination of top-level power pitching with accuracy, excellent spin rate and movement, and a highly effective change-up. What’s equally as impressive is knowing how hard she works and the amount of time put in to help excel at her craft on the rubber. She is definitely a “No days off” player. She is an ultimate competitor that works extremely hard.
During July, Macie posted impressive numbers with our IG 2K9 National team while competing against top teams from around the country on big stages. In July she had 77 innings pitched, and faced 303 batters while posting a perfect 13-0 record with 2 saves, 140 strikeouts, and only 19 BBs. Her ERA was .727, WHIP .818, and opponent batting average was .157.
Macie also picked up and played in a 14U tourney with Impact Gold 2K7 Hranicky in July. She had 23.2 innings pitched, faced 82 batters, while going 5-0, had 58 strikeouts, and just 2 BB’s. Her ERA was .296, WHIP was .465 and opponent’s batting average was .114.
It’s an honor to have Macie selected as Player of the month. Entering 14U we know it will be challenging, but we are excited to watch her continue to grow, develop, and compete against the tough competition that awaits!” From Coach Tamar Turner
What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?
The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.
Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.
To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
