Sydona Meiser Named TFL Player of the Month for November

The Alliance Fastpitch is honored to recognize Sydona Meiser (2026) from the Texas Fastpitch League (TFL) as Player of the Month for her remarkable November performance. Sydona is an outfielder and first baseman for the 16u Texas Glory. This month, Meiser batted an outstanding 0.683 over 41 at-bats. Her performance was a huge asset to her team, as she recorded 17 runs batted in among 15 singles, 9 doubles, a triple, and 3 homeruns. She also exhibited her athleticism in 9 stolen bases.

Sydona Meiser’s softball journey was sparked by the weekends spent watching her brother play baseball. Intrigued and inspired, she ventured into the world of softball in second grade, initially starting with recreational play and earning a spot on the all-star team. After this taste of higher-level competition, Sydona sought a more challenging path and joined the Texas Glory organization, becoming an integral part of the family for seven years. Her love for softball goes beyond the game itself—it’s about the competition, the guidance from coaches, and, most importantly, the friendships with her teammates. These fellow players have not only become friends but have also been instrumental in pushing Sydona to excel both as an athlete and as a person.

One standout moment in Sydona’s softball career unfolded during the Semi-Final game of a national tournament at Oklahoma Christian’s softball stadium. Struggling at the plate throughout the week, Sydona found herself facing a pivotal moment with bases loaded and her team trailing by three runs in an International Tie-Breaker (ITB) situation. Displaying resilience and skill, she hit an opposite-field triple to left center field, tying the game and setting the stage for an underdog victory. This memorable experience highlighted the joy, challenge, and reward that softball brings.

While Sydona doesn’t have a specific favorite player, she holds a deep admiration for all those who play the sport at a high level. She recognizes the contributions of those who have paved the way, acknowledging their role in growing the sport she loves.

Beyond the softball diamond, Sydona enjoys baking, spending time with friends and family, and playing with her dog—a well-rounded mix of interests that complement her dedication to the game.

On the field, Sydona’s goals involve maturing as a softball player and evolving into a more vocal leader for her teams. Each season, she aims to surpass or improve upon her accomplishments from the previous year while maintaining a student-of-the-game mentality. Off the field, her aspirations include deciding on a college major and, ultimately, playing softball at the highest collegiate level she’s blessed to reach.
