The Texas Fastpitch League (TFL) is proud to name Addyson Sheppard the TFL’s 14U Fall Spotlight Athlete for 2021.
Sheppard, a 2025 member of Impact Gold National 14U Smith, hit .507 with 10 home runs, seven doubles, one triple, and 41 RBIs this fall.
Q: Tell us a little bit about you and your softball story?
A: When I was three years old I started watching MLB with my dad. This peaked my interest in the sport and I signed up to play t-ball at my local YMCA. I had so much fun playing the game and decided that softball was what I loved to do. I am very thankful that God has given me the opportunity to play this game.
Q: What is your favorite softball memory?
A: I have so many great softball memories, including winning a PGF National Championship, but winning the USA Softball All American Games held at the USA Softball Hall of Fame Stadium is one that stands out as a favorite memory. I had the opportunity to play with many different girls within my region and built friendships that will last forever. Also, playing on the same field that has hosted many historic softball games was an honor.
Addy is one of the best 2025 players in the country. Period. The sky is the limit for this kid. When talking about #25, you have to understand, she brings the complete package. She’s a leader by example and the best teammate you could ask for. This kid just has a good heart and is a complete team player. Kids like this are hard to find and we are happy that she calls Impact Gold National Smith her home.
At the plate, Addy has superior arm strength (flirting with 70mph), deep deep HR power and speed that grabs extra bases routinely. On defense, Addy can play any position, except pitch, and play it at a Top 5 in the country level. You will see this kid on TV someday. Guaranteed.”
