Nevaeh Haagen’s softball journey begins at six years old, but her true passion for the game ignites when she starts pitching at eight. From the very beginning, she has an incredible support system, with her dad by her side for every small improvement, struggle, and success. Her mom, too, is there through the emotional ups and downs, inspiring Nevaeh to push herself further in the sport she loves. Over time, Nevaeh plays for several club teams, but it’s with the AI Bandits that she truly finds her home. Together, they grow as individuals and as a team, and the game of softball shapes her into a better person, friend, and athlete, giving her something she can cherish forever.
One of Nevaeh’s most cherished memories is reaching the championship game in the Arizona Last Blast tournament, a testament to the hard work and determination she and her teammates put in to get that far.
Her favorite player is Montana Fouts, who inspires her on the field. Off the field, Nevaeh enjoys going to the beach and binge-watching movies, balancing her competitive spirit with relaxation and fun.
Currently, Nevaeh’s goals include winning the Washington 3A State Championship, earning straight A’s in school, and becoming the Gatorade Player of the Year. Her dedication to both her sport and academics drives her to achieve excellence in every aspect of her life.
The Alliance Fastpitch recently recognized Nevaeh as Player of the Month, celebrating her exceptional contributions to the sport and her unwavering commitment to personal and athletic growth.
What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?
The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.
Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
