Softball Story (How did you get started? Tell us about you-

I started playing softball at 6 years old in West Covina, CA. I made the All-Star team my first season playing, and I fell in love with the game. I became great friends with the girls on my team and continue to have a great friendship with them today. Being on that 6U All-Star team and competing with other great teams, gave me motivation to work hard and continue to get better. Most of the girls from this same All-Star team stayed together for 8U and we won a B-state championship, going undefeated in the tournament. A few of us are still together in 10u and I look forward to accomplishing so much with them this season and in the future.

Favorite Softball memory-

My favorite softball memory was competing in the Alliance National Tournament last summer in Oklahoma City, OK. It was so amazing to play against so many talented teams all over the country and make great memories with my teammates. I cannot wait to play in it again this summer!

Favorite Softball Player-

My favorite softball player is Savannah Pola from UCLA. I love how she plays the game and she’s an Athletics Mercado alum too!

What are some of your current goals – both on and off the field? (Softball, school, other athletics, related, etc. all welcomed!)

One of my goals is to take first place at Alliance Nationals this year and share that championship with my awesome teammates. I want to continue to get better at softball all while maintaining straight A’s in school this year. My ultimate goal is to earn a scholarship to play softball at UCLA. UCLA is my dream school, and it would be an honor to attend school there and be a part of such an amazing softball program.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.

To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
