Daniella Boccanfuso Named PCFL Player of the Month for November

The Alliance Fastpitch is honored to recognize Daniella Boccanfuso (2027) from the Pacific Coast Fastpitch League (PCFL) as Player of the Month for her memorable November performance. Daniella is a pitcher for Athletics Mercado Tidd. This month, Tidd logged a perfect 4-0 record accompanied by an outstanding 36 strikeouts and an earned run average of just 0.76 and 1.09 WHIP.

Daniella Boccanfuso initially took up softball  for the sheer fun of it. However, her journey took a defining turn in 8U when her team needed a pitcher, and Daniella rose to the occasion. From that moment, she fell in love with the game, captivated by the competitiveness and the invaluable life lessons that softball imparts.

A standout memory in Daniella’s softball journey is her participation in the 2022 12U USA All American Games in Oklahoma City. The experience of playing in the prestigious USA Softball Hall of Fame stadium, coupled with the opportunity to meet mentors she admires, left an indelible mark on her. This memorable event not only showcased her skills on a grand stage but also connected her with influential figures in the softball community.

Rachel Garcia, a prominent figure in the softball world, holds the title of Daniella’s favorite player. Admiring Garcia’s skills and achievements, Daniella has looked up to her since the beginning of her softball journey.

Outside of softball, Daniella finds joy in spending quality time with friends and family. She embraces the pleasures of shopping and indulges her love for exploring new places through travel.

In terms of goals, Daniella aims high, aspiring to maintain excellent grades and secure a scholarship to a Division 1 college. Her dream extends to continuing her softball journey as a top pitcher and achieving the pinnacle of success by winning a national championship with her team—a goal she hopes to realize in the upcoming summer season. Daniella’s dedication to academic and athletic excellence reflects her ambition to make a mark both on and off the softball field.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
