Softball Story –

I was inspired by my two older brothers who played baseball growing up and I started when I was 5 and have continued playing the sport I love most. I have had multiple coaches throughout my softball journey and each have played an important part in my life which has kept me going to play this sport.

Favorite Softball memory-

My favorite softball memory was going to Colorado and playing in the All American All Star Game and performing very well.

Who is your favorite softball player?

My favorite softball players are Sis Bates and Allexis Bennett because they are incredible athletes that I have looked up to ever since I was little and even more when I switched to the left side and started slapping.

What do you like to do outside of softball?

I like to hang out with my friends and go on adventures and do different activities.

What are some of your current goals – both on and off the field?

Some of my current goals on the field is to become the best player and teammate that I can be to get the best results for my team. I also strive to constantly be physically challenged to truly test my limits and work to get better each and every day. A goal away from the field is to succeed in the classroom and just in life in general and to give myself the best opportunity I can to do achieve this goal.

Coaches Feedback-

Tell us a bit about your athlete? As a player, person, etc.

Caitlyn is an all around outstanding athlete, student, and person. As an athlete she does not shy away from the opportunity to challenge herself and step outside of her comfort zone. She has excelled at not just softball but volleyball as well. Caitlyn “Red” aspired to play D1 softball, through her commitment to her academics and softball, her dream will become a reality in the fall as she goes on to attend & play for Santa Clara University. As a person Red is a true leader, she is there to always share words of encouragement and support to fellow teammates. On the bases or in centerfield Red always adds excitement to the game, with her aggressive base running or dynamic plays in the outfield.

Do you have a favorite memory or moment of this athlete?

Red is the type of player that brings joy & fun to the game. There are so many memories I would enjoy sharing, but the most memorable is the day Red decided to commit to Santa Clara University. With all Red and her family have overcome and her laser focus on achieving her goal, seeing it all come together for her is by far my most favorite memory.

Is there anything else you’d like to share, include, or that we should know?

Congratulations Red!!

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
