Colorado this past season. Having the final day with four different fields playing championship games in four different divisions. We had a team on every field. So surreal to me at that moment. Even more than our national championships. We won 3-4 and my team that lost went on to be 18 u national champions.

Professional Background:

I’m an electrician by trade. Played slow pitch and fast pitch at a very high level traveling the country for 12 years before retiring and started coaching my girls. I would then go to work and have lessons in my backyard. Got too busy and had to make a decision. Ball was my passion so I went for it. Teamed up with Brian Tidd and started gamers academy. We went two years there taking a 2nd at nationals our 2nd year together.
We then joined Bruce at So Cal Athletics and were very successful there winning 3 national titles in 4 years. We went on our own and started our own brand with Athletics Mercado and wow what this has turned into. We have had 3 runner ups and 2 national championships since then. Top club championship last season 18u and 14u won, 16 took 3rd 10k a piece for 20k total and that was quite a ride.

I have two beautiful girls.
Danica 26 all American at Oregon (Go Ducks!). Mo all American at Arizona (Bear Down!).
The people in my academy are the reason we are successful! Everyone buys into what and how we do! I couldn’t be more grateful for these people that have taken us to the next level.
