Bria Foster named RMFL Co-Jr. Player of the Month for April

BY

The Rocky Mountain Fastpitch League (RMFL) is excited to spotlight Bria Foster as April’s Co-Junior Player of the Month. Foster is a pitcher, 1st baseman, and outfielder for the CO Batbusters Trombley 12U.

Bria had a great month of April on both sides of the ball. In the circle, she pitched just over 55 innings with an ERA of 3.54 and 81 strikeouts to give her a record of 9-4 on the month. While at the plate, she had a batting average of .319 with 22 RBIs, 11 singles, 3 triples, and 1 home run.

Foster started playing softball at the young age of just 7. “I started playing softball when I was 7 years old. I started pitching when I was 8 years old. That’s why I love being number 8. And my birthday is the 8th. My teammates call me Ocho.  I have loved playing with and meeting great teammates along the way. I have had the opportunities to play in 10 different states since I started and that has been such a fun part of this! I love to be in the hard tournaments across the country and I’m excited for more this season.”

“My favorite softball memories.  I loved going to the College World Series in OKC when I was 9,” she said. “I went to cheer on Trinity Harrington with Texas A&M. She is from Colorado and I have known Trinity since I was little. It was awesome seeing a Colorado kid make it to that level and it was really motivating for me. My recent favorite softball memory is just a few weeks ago in Wichita, Kansas I threw my first perfect game. It was 12 strikeouts in a row. It was so exciting and such a great experience to share with my teammates and my catcher Campbell. I couldn’t have done it without them. I’m excited for more big moments with them this season.”

“Bria is a great kid, player and is fun to coach. She shows up every day to compete at the highest level and always puts the team first. In our last tournament, she was named MVP of the tournament but gave the award away to her fellow pitcher, to recognize her efforts in the Championship game. She has a very bright future ahead of her.” – Coach Trombley

From all of us at the Alliance and the RMFL, congratulations to Bria Foster for her achievements.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?
The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.

To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
