About the RMFL

The Rocky Mountain Fast Pitch League:

The Rocky Mountain Fastpitch League (RMFL) officially launched in July 2020 following the announcement of the Texas Fastpitch League, Heart of America Fastpitch League, and the Pacific Coast Fastpitch League.

The RMFL originally started with teams in Colorado but with the announcement of The Alliance Fastpitch, it soon began to spread to surrounding states in the region. The vision was to have teams compete in a Championship Series that resembled NCAA Softball post season.

The integration of tracking stats, creating League standings, creating pathways for teams to earn their way into championships, and a structure to help provide resources and access to the athletes and teams was centric to the decision. The RMFL kicked off its first season in the fall of 2020 and will host its inaugural RMFL League Championship in Summer 2021.

What is the RMFL?

The RMFL is a regional league for fastpitch teams in the 10U to 18U age divisions and exists to provide all fastpitch teams in the region with access to elite level competition. The RMFL represents four states including Colorado, New Mexico, Utah, and Wyoming.

Through this collaboration of organizations, teams and events, we will combine our resources, knowledge, experience, and love of the game to make fastpitch softball better.

What does it mean for your team to be a member of the RMFL?

  • Be included in League Standings that seed teams into the RMFL Super Regionals
  • Be eligible to participate in the RMFL League Championship which qualifies teams to the Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series (AFCS) at Tier I and Tier II
  • Upload your teams' stats after each weekend to be included in our database so you can see where your team and players stack up against the rest of the leagues
  • Individual players' stats will also be listed among their peers across the nation to provide visual data that can be used for resume building
  • Be eligible for members-only camps, clinics, seminars, and webinars for coaches, players and parents.
How is the RMFL related to the other regional leagues?

The RMFL is a Member League of The Alliance Fastpitch and will operate in collaboration with the five other Member Leagues in the Alliance. This means that the League Championship and top finishers in AFCS Qualifying Events will earn a berth to The Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series (AFCS) at the Tier I and Tier II divisions. Being a League Team inside of The Alliance Fastpitch means team standings will be calculated at each age division and team and individual stats will be recognized at the League and national level.

Additionally, this means all individual athletes and individual coaches will register as individual members of The Alliance Fastpitch. This membership includes insurance, background checks for coaches, and access to all Membership Benefits.

See more about Alliance Memberships.

How do teams earn points in the RMFL?

Teams earn points at Alliance endorsed events. Events can be found on our league schedule.

All games MUST be scored using AthletesGoLive (AGL). AGL provides reports about the event - what teams played each other, game scores, and stats. It is VERY important to score all of your games in AGL. If you do not score your games in AGL, they will not be included in our leaderboard calculations. To confirm your Alliance ID has been tied to your AGL account, log into your AGL team account (app or web) and your Alliance ID will be listed on the HOME page. If it is blank, please follow these instructions to register for AGL: Click here
