BY Jess Caron

The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Kinley Brashier (2028) from the Texas Fastpitch League (TFL) as Player of the Month for her remarkable play in May 2024. Kinley Brashier, a versatile player for Impact Gold National Mata, excels in multiple positions—OF, P.

Kinley Brashier’s softball journey begins in Liberty, TX, playing league ball. After enjoying All-Stars in T-ball and 8U, she starts to truly love the game. By the end of 10U, Kinley begins learning to pitch, falling in love with it, and soon transitions to travel ball. She plays for smaller teams before moving to Hotshots and eventually Impact Gold. Kinley loves pitching, spending time with her teammates, traveling, and meeting new people. Over the past couple of seasons, she starts attending college camps, eagerly anticipating the chance to play at the next level.

A cherished softball memory for Kinley is pitching her first perfect game. She also loves playing in Colorado and Tennessee, two of her favorite places to travel. This summer, her team will attend Alliance Nationals in California, which she is sure will become another favorite memory.

Kinley’s favorite player is Kelly Maxwell. Outside of softball, she enjoys running track, working out, spending time with friends, and reading.

Kinley’s current goals include achieving specific pitching milestones. She recently reached one of her goals by hitting 180 strikeouts and aims to finish the season with a BAA under .200, currently at .165. Off the field, she strives to make straight As in her first year of high school, despite the challenge of all honors classes.

The Alliance Fastpitch commends Kinley on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal and athletic growth.

Kinley’s coach, Cheyenne Mata, describes her as a leader and a great teammate. Kinley is full of energy and a blessing to teach and be part of her journey. As an honor student, she also makes her coach proud by being heavily involved with her church. Coach Mata finds it amazing to watch Kinley grow into not just a great athlete but an even better person. Her favorite memory of Kinley is pitching against a great Hotshots National Nelson team, showcasing her focus, attack, and execution.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
