October 12, 2022, Surrey, BC, Canada –

The White Rock Renegades are proud and excited to announce that they are the first organization in Canada to join the Alliance Fastpitch. The Alliance Fastpitch is an emerging elite fastpitch group, initially based in the USA, which offers athlete-centered opportunities on and off the field. The Alliance Fastpitch is organized through a regional Member Leagues where teams accumulate points through league play and qualify for a National Championship. Off the field, Alliance Fastpitch members are connected to a national community and expert resources to help the athlete in her softball journey.  Many of the most Elite USA -based programs have joined to further the endeavour of providing top-level opportunities to their membership.

The White Rock Renegades (Est. 1986) is Canada’s most storied girls fastpitch organization – claiming 25 Canadian Championships, over 300 college scholarship placements, 10 Olympic athletes and many more National Team opportunities. While competing at the highest level, the WRR also champion qualities such as scholarships, citizenship, leadership and sportsmanship. The organization has led the sport in Canada in terms of high quality travel opportunities, and hosting events close to home. The Renegades have worked closely with Canadian Softball officials to ensure that all Canadian-based programs will continue to be a priority, including Provincial and National Championship Tournaments.

“As Canadian youth fastpitch advances, we are so pleased to provide the opportunities which will come to our players as a result of joining the Alliance Fastpitch” said Greg Timm, President of the White Rock Renegades. “The Alliance will bring elite playing opportunities for our teams, allow us to play closer to home more often, and bring our athletes college exposure never before available to many athletes in Canada. We have seen many of our past players either under-sign or go completely unsigned due to lack of exposure and knowledge of the college recruiting process. The Alliance will also allow our Coaches into a community of other top-level coaches so that we can learn from each other. The strong value system and collaborative approach of the Alliance fits uniquely well with that of the White Rock Renegades.”

The White Rock Renegades will become a part of the Alliance’s Northwest Fastpitch League (NWFL) and look forward to the opportunity to host The Alliance Fastpitch teams over two high level tournaments at their home park of Softball City in Surrey, BC.

1) Canada Cup International Tournament June 20-26, 2022 – this event is entering it’s 27 year and often hosts top Canadian, US and International Youth Teams at the U19 Gold and U17 Gold levels.

2) Renegades Pride and Power Tournament, May 20-23 – this event is entering its 34th year and is an annual invitational at the 18U Gold, 16U Gold, 14U Gold and 12U Gold categories.

“We are honored to have the White Rock Renegades organization join the Alliance Fastpitch and expand our organization into Canada,” said Jami Lobpries, Executive Director of the Alliance Fastpitch. “In our first season, we saw some of the top clubs in the US come together to share resources and enhance the playing experience. We’re excited to expand those opportunities to these Canadian teams and athletes. Together, we want to grow the sport of fastpitch softball and provide value to our athletes and coaches both on and off the field.”

About the Alliance Fastpitch

The Alliance Fastpitch is a cohesive network of regional softball leagues, teams, coaches, athletes and parents. Founded in the Summer of 2020 through the collaboration of top softball clubs and industry leaders, the Alliance Fastpitch registered over 1000 teams and over 15,000 individual members, which includes coaches and athletes, in our first full season of play.

Our eight regional Member Leagues include the Pacific Coast Fastpitch League, Heart of America Fastpitch League, Northeast Fastpitch League, Rocky Mountain Fastpitch League, Southeastern Fastpitch League, Texas Fastpitch League, Northwest Fastpitch League, and the Atlantic Coast Fastpitch League. These regional Member Leagues provide a purpose of play to existing events with a structured point and ranking system, regional League championships, and a true national championship series, the Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series (AFCS).

Our goal is to level the playing field for all teams on and off the field and to provide value and the access of credible resources to our members. Follow us on Facebook, Instagram, Twitter YouTube &
