Her March stats include a .455 batting average, a .455 OBP, and 5 singles.
Cheyenne Sterling’s softball journey began with her older sister, Cassidy Sterling, serving as her inspiration to start playing the sport. She finds joy in softball because it’s a fun activity to enjoy with her friends.
A cherished softball memory for Cheyenne is the recent experience of attending three college games at the Mary Nutter Classic, where they had front-row seating, creating unforgettable moments.
Cheyenne’s favorite players are Sis Bates and Kinzie Hanson, but outside of softball, she finds happiness in hanging out with friends and having sleepovers.
Her current goals include aspiring to play for Oklahoma while maintaining her excellent grades.
Cheyenne’s coach, Jeremy, describes her as a fantastic team player who consistently supports her teammates, regardless of her own performance or the demands placed on her by the coaches. With a strong commitment to academic excellence, Cheyenne maintains a 3.8 GPA and is known for her genuine care for others, whether it’s her friends, family, or animals. Jeremy’s favorite memories involve witnessing Cheyenne’s love for the game and her interactions with her teammates, as well as seeing her mentor her younger sister, just as her older sister did for her.
What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?
The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.
Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
