Gracie Ream named NWFL September Player of the Month
By jess
The Northwest Fastpitch League (NWFL) is excited to spotlight Gracie Ream as the September Player of the Month. Ream is a pitcher on Ai Bandits Breer 16U.
Ream pulls double duty in the circle and at the plate. At the dish, Ream racked up an impressive. .889 batting average, .889 OBP with 10 RBIs and 2 home runs in just 9 at bats.
“Gracie is a fierce competitor, who accepts and welcomes all challenges,” said coach Chris Breer. “She consistently leads our team offensively and embraces the burden of leading in the circle as well. Far from just a pitcher, Gracie plays 2B and 3B for us when not keeping hitters off balance. As a plus hitter, a plus pitcher, and an exceptional competitor, people will start to take notice of this 2025 gem.”
Gracie started her softball journey on the t-ball field before moving to coach pitch and then eventually travel ball at the age of 10. I currently play for Chris Breer and the ai Bandits 16U Orange. “I had an amazing summer this last season, driving through 9 states in 8 weeks to attend multiple softball tournaments,” she said. “While I pitched most of the summer, I love playing any position. Softball has always been my sport. When I was younger, I swam and played soccer, but it wasn’t the same type of excitement. I am highly competitive. I am currently a Freshman at Puyallup High School and wrapping up the volleyball season. I have a 3.8 GPA and am very excited to take ASL this year. I love watching college softball and want to be that person.”
Gracie’s favorite softball memory is pitching 5 games in a row on a Saturday to move us in position to play on Sunday in nationals.
From all of us at the Alliance and the NWFL, congratulations to Gracie Ream for her achievements.
What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?
The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.
Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.
To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
