Players Response
Tell us a bit about your softball story! How’d you get started in the sport?
I started dance and softball at three but softball was the one to stick.
Who is your favorite softball player?
It’s not a player it’s more of an era. When my mom Wendy Allen played in the 2000’s that era they played with class. Players like Lovi Jung, Alicia Hollowell, Caitlin Lowe, Autumn Champion, played for their team and no one else. They played with intensity but no need to brag about how good they were. Coaches like Candrea, Nancy Evans, Larry Mays taught them softball 101, no one is bigger than the program, and to respect the game.
What do you like to do outside of softball?
I love playing volleyball and reading many books. My teammates and I play lots of hacky sack and card games off the field. Eating all different types of food is a big part of my life.
What are some of your current goals – both on and off the field? (Softball, school, other athletics, related, etc. all welcomed!)
On the field to get a little better every day and enjoy the process. Academically I love school and this year I am taking the challenge of being an editor for my school yearbook. I am also trying track and water polo this year. Along with volleyball and softball for my high school.
Coaches Response
Tell us a bit about your athlete? As a player, person, etc.
Lilly is a 5 tool player. She hits at the top of line up, she plays outfield, has speed, a great arm, and is one of the top Pitchers in her class. Lilly will be a asset to our Academy in the next few years with all of the talent she bring to this sport. Great young lady and is dedicated to softball and her academics.
Do you have a favorite memory or moment of this athlete?
I don’t have a favorite memory as Lilly does so much for our team, and contributes in many ways towards our success.
