The Alliance Fastpitch is honored to recognize Presley Gibson (2029) from the Pacific Coast Fastpitch League (PCFL) as Player of the Month for her remarkable October performance. Presley is an outfielder, second baseman, and pitcher for the Batbusters Taylor. This month, Gibson had a 2-0 pitching record with 9 strikeouts, a perfect 0 earned run average and a WHIP of .12. She also batted an impressive .688 with 2 triples, 9 runs batted in, and 5 stolen bases.

Presley Gibson, a softball enthusiast with a journey that began at the age of 5, radiates passion and dedication for the sport. Inspired by her older sister’s involvement, Presley eagerly awaited her turn to step onto the diamond. Within a year, she discovered her true calling—pitching. Since then, pitching has not only become her position on the field but a genuine passion that fuels her love for the game.

Presley’s softball journey took an adventurous turn at the age of 9 when she started traveling to Oahu, seeking opportunities to extend her softball season beyond the 1-6 weeks available on Kaua’i. For the past year, she has been an integral part of Batbusters Taylor, relishing the experience of playing alongside a remarkable and supportive team.

Reflecting on her softball experiences, Gibson finds it challenging to pinpoint a single favorite memory. However, the recent victory in the TCS Monster Mash tournament stands out prominently. Winning a tournament with a multitude of high-caliber teams is a testament to the hard work and skill that Presley and her teammates brought to the field.

Presley looks up to two standout players—Jordy Bahl and Kamalani Dung. Jordy’s prowess on the field makes her an obvious favorite, while Kamalani serves as an inspiration to girls from Hawai’i, showcasing the talent that can emerge from their community.

Outside of softball, Presley finds solace and joy at the beach, engaging in activities like swimming, bodyboarding, and fishing. These moments of relaxation and recreation complement her intense focus on the softball field.

Presley’s goals extend beyond the diamond, emphasizing both academic and personal growth. She strives to excel in school, embodying a commitment to hard work both as a player and teammate. Gibson’s dedication to continuous improvement highlights her desire to be the best version of herself in all aspects of her life.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
