The Rocky Mountain Fastpitch League is excited to announce the RMFL’s November Junior Player of the Month: Brynlee Taga!

Taga, a 2027 graduate, competes at the 12U level for Firecrackers Gale and enjoyed a fantastic month of November at the plate. She hit .471 with an OPS of 1.167, six RBIs, one double, and one triple.

COACHES FEEDBACK:
Brynlee is an extremely smart young player. She understands the next play ahead of time and is getting stronger at the plate every weekend. November saw Brynlee have a huge contribution to help our team earn their AFCS National bid for 2022. She has a very bright future ahead of her and is the ultimate team player. We are fortunate to have such a great young lady who can play multiple positions and always stays positive.

MEET BRYNLEE:
Q: Can you share a little bit about your softball story?
Taga: I started playing Little League softball in Washington state when I was in 3rd grade.  I made the LL All-Star team the 2 years I played which really got me hooked and excited to play more. I made my first competitive team in Washington in 5th grade and only got to play in 2 tournaments before COVID-19 happened and canceled my season. After that, I moved back to Colorado and played my first full year of comp ball (2020/21 season). I’m so excited to now be a part of the Firecrackers 12u Gale team where I get to progress and learn more about the sport I love. I’m so excited to continue this season and see what’s to come.

Q: What is your favorite softball memory?
Taga: One of my favorite memories so far is when I threw out 2 runners during a Championship game (both at 2nd). But my favorite thing about softball is being a part of a team and making new friends along the way.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.

To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
