The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Bailey Holder (2028) from the Pacific Coast Fastpitch League (PCFL) as the Alliance National Player of the Month for her outstanding achievements in December. Alliance National Players of the Month are selected from the pool of League Players of the Month. See below to read about Bailey’s December success and get to know her!

Bailey, a dynamic player at third base and shortstop for OC Batbusters AG 09, boasts impressive stats with a .539 batting average, a remarkable 1.148 slugging percentage, 13 RBIs, 8 singles, 4 doubles, 1 triple, 3 home runs, and 2 stolen bases.

Bailey’s journey started with baseball. She started playing baseball at the age of 4, joining her older brother and sister in the same Little League. Over nine seasons, she experienced great moments in baseball but discovered her true passion for softball while following the Women’s College World Series. Encouraged by friends, Bailey made the switch and joined Batbusters last season, embracing the faster pace of the game and the opportunity to learn and grow alongside talented teammates and dedicated coaching. Bailey had to learn a lot of new skills such as a new swing, a different approach to baserunning,  and how to defend slap hitting. She enjoys putting in the work and Batbusters has provided her with a lot of opportunity to learn and grow.

Her favorite softball memories include her experience at the Colorado Sparkler tournament, where her OC Batbusters Hudson team secured victory in the Power Pool division and won the home run derby. Another cherished moment was winning the San Diego Toys for Tots tournament with the Batbusters AG 09 team, playing up in 16U and demonstrating their competitive spirit.

Maya Brady is Bailey’s favorite softball player, admired for her work ethic, versatility, and athleticism. Growing up rooting for UCLA, Bailey also practices the 8 clap in support of her favorite team.

Outside of softball, Bailey excels in other sports, contributing to her middle school volleyball and basketball teams’ Long Beach All City Championships. She enjoys surfing, beach time, and spending quality moments with her brother, sister, and friends.

Bailey’s current goals span both on and off the field. On the diamond, she aims to continue learning, practicing, and playing alongside her talented and fun team, foreseeing great achievements in the upcoming summer season. In the classroom, Bailey strives to finish her 8th-grade year strong and looks forward to a fun 8th-grade basketball season. The Alliance Fastpitch congratulates Bailey Holder on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to the sport and her dedication to personal and athletic growth.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
