Tell us a bit about your softball story! How’d you get started in the sport?
I started my softball career playing baseball. I played for a little league team with Carmel Dad’s club (CDC) when I was 4 years old. After that one season, I made the switch to softball. For two seasons, I played with CDC and then went on to play travel. My first true travel team was the Indiana Mustangs. After that, I moved onto the Indiana Dreams Lids where I spent 4 years (second year 10’s- first year 14’s).
What has been your favorite softball memory?
My favorite travel softball memory is when I was playing in Branson MO for our nationals on the Indiana Dreams. We were down in the last inning and I hit an inside the park homerun to tie the game and send it into extras. My favorite high school softball memory was in our single elimination sectional game my sophomore season. I was intentionally walked for the 4th time that game in the bottom of the 7th with two outs. Our 4 hole hitter hit a ball into the outfield, allowing me get to third and a run to score. After a bobble at first, I took home to tie the game. We ended up winning in the 9th inning and advancing to the state tournament.
Who is your favorite softball player?
My favorite softball player is Kiki Milloy. She is the perfect example of what little girls should want to play like. She has tremendous work ethic and you can see it show on the field. She is one of the toughest outs in the game because she is such a dynamic hitter. When she gets her pitch she will drive it and when she’s in a pitchers count, she finds a way to put the ball in play.
What do you like to do outside of softball?
Outside of softball, I still like to be very active. I play volleyball for my high school and I love to go for bike rides. I have 3 dogs at home that like to play and go on walks. Watching movies and listening to music is also something I really enjoy.
What are some of your current goals – both on and off the field? (Softball, school, other athletics, related, etc. all welcomed!)
One goal I have for my travel team is to make it to the championship game in California and win it. My goal for high school team is to make it to the state tournament again for the 4th year in a row. A personal goal of mine is to beat my own homerun record for my school and be the Gatorade Player of the Year for Tennessee again. My ultimate goal for academics is to become a Biomedical Engineer.

Tell us a bit about your athlete? As a player, person, etc.
Elsa is one of the most talented players in America. Her Plus Power to all fields makes her a threat to leave the yard at anytime. As well defensively she is equally talented at shortstop and behind the plate. What is really impressive is she is just finishing her sophomore year and has two more years of development prior to moving on to the next level.
Do you have a favorite memory or moment of this athlete?
Her hitting a ball completely out of the ballpark in Colorado on a 315 foot fence on a home run.
