COACHES FEEDBACK:
“I remember when this kid was coming out to my clinics at only five years old.. I knew she was special and five years later all that hard work is paying off! Her ability to read the ball off the bat and her explosive first step Allows her to go deep in the 5-6 hole and up the middle with ease. She has the best arm angles and quick hands in the country along with arm strength.. for her age she is far above the top players in her division” – Tony Medina

“When I first saw Aaliyah on the field it was very evident that she was one of the top fielders even compared to her 14 year old peers. When she tried out for our team I soon realized she was an even MORE amazing hitter! I couldn’t believe that at just 10 years old this kid had unbelievable power and discipline.. she is a coaches’ dream. While there is always room for improvement.. I will guarantee she will be one of the top recruits in a few years without a doubt” – Liza Liddell

MEET AALIYAH:
Q: Can you share a little bit about your softball story?
Zamano: My Softball Story begins when I was 4 years old playing T-ball for La Puente park with the White Sox. I played with boys and girls on the team. When I turned 5 I wanted to compete with girls by playing softball so that’s when my mom signed me up at West Covina, and I’ve been playing and competing ever since.

Q: What is your favorite softball memory?
Zamano: Playing with Santa Angel’s in toys for tots with La Habra is one of my favorite memories. We worked so hard that weekend to make it to the championship, we were down 3, bases were loaded with two outs, I came up to bat and hit a grand slam to win my very First place trophy, I can’t explain the excitement I had in that very moment. Since that day I’ve always told myself that’s the same excitement I want to feel every time I’m in a championship game!

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.

To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
