Taylor Miller named RMFL Player of the Month for July

The Rocky Mountain Fastpitch League (RMFL) is excited to spotlight Taylor Miller as the July Player of the Month. Reeves is a pitcher and third baseman for Firecrackers Gale.
Miller had a successful July in the circle, throwing 43 strikeouts in 35 innings. The 2023 also maintained a 1.22 ERA throughout the month.
Softball Story (How did you get started?) Tell us about you-
I started playing softball at the age of five, for the Parker Hawks. I played for the Hawks for about 5 years, until I moved to my first competitive team The Colorado Legacy at the age of 10. Since then I have played for many different competitive teams but ended up on the 18 Firecrackers Gale-Rodriguez. Growing up I fell in love with the sport, and at the age of 8 learned how to pitch. Ever since I started pitching the circle felt like home, and my smile is never brighter than when I’m on the mound. Softball has given me so many great opportunities, and I even met my lifelong Best Friends through this sport.
Favorite Softball memory-
My Favorite softball Memory is State 2019. It was my Freshman year, and it was the first time in school history that Arapahoe had made it to state. We were playing Smoky Hill in the bottom of the 5th, and I hit a walk-off home run to win the game. I was able to help make school history and Arapahoe continued on to the next round of the tournament.
What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?
The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.
Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month.
To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
