Players Response

Tell us a bit about your softball story! How’d you get started in the sport?

I have a very athletic family, most of the women in my family play softball and my parents signed me up for t-ball really young at the age of 3. I really enjoyed the game and just continued pursuing it.

What has been your favorite softball memory?

There are too many to name, the competition, friendships, and family, but mostly the winnings of big Tournaments. Recently winning the Colorado Sparkler 2023.

Who is your favorite softball player?

Currently I dont have a favorite. But if we go back a few years, I would have to say my cousins Briana Tautalafua (UCLA 2019) and Darian Tautalafua (LBSU 2016).

What do you like to do outside of softball?

I like to hang out with my family and friends and enjoy the time spent together.

What are some of your current goals – both on and off the field? (Softball, school, other athletics, related, etc. all welcomed!)

Continuing to build my confidence and being flexible with changes are some of the goals I am working on within myself. With school is the same, being a student athlete and continuing my education and athletic ability in college. I am also currently playing High School volleyball and would like to see myself grow in this new sport as well.

Coaches Response

Tell us a bit about your athlete? As a player, person, etc.

She is an amazing athlete. One of the smartest kids I have ever coached. She is so smart she is up one grade in school and is already taking college courses. She can play any position on the field. A true gamer and 5 tool player. She has matured a lot this year. She has become a great teammate. She is the spark plug to my offense. She is the leadoff batter and gets on most of the time.

Do you have a favorite memory or moment of this athlete?

I don’t have one moment in mind however with Ashannalee, it is about setting the table. She is a baller and starts the game for us by getting on base. She steals bases at will. She is an amazing offensive talent.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
