The Alliance Fastpitch is honored to recognize Kensley Story (2026) from the Rocky Mountain Fastpitch League (RMFL) as Player of the Month for her remarkable October performance. Story is a catcher and second baseman for the Colorado Softball Academy 16U Gold-United. This month, Kensley batted an impressive .875 with 6 runs batted in and a 2.51 OPS.

Since the age of 7, Kensley’s passion for softball has been an enduring force in shaping her identity. It was the influence and encouragement of her father that set her on this athletic journey. With each passing season, Story’s love for the game has deepened, becoming a defining aspect of her character.

Fueled by a relentless work ethic and guided by the goal of playing softball at the collegiate level, Kensley remains dedicated to honing her skills. The memory of hitting her first over-the-fence home run serves as a powerful milestone for Kensley, symbolizing the triumphs and aspirations that propel them forward on the softball field.

In admiration of accomplished athletes, Kensley’s favorite softball player is Kinzie Hansen, the skilled catcher from the University of Oklahoma. Hansen’s prowess on the field serves as a source of inspiration, influencing Story’s approach to the game and shaping her ambitions for the future.

Beyond the softball diamond, this individual finds enjoyment and balance in extracurricular activities such as hunting and volleyball. These pursuits offer additional enjoyment for Story and complement her athletic endeavors.

Looking ahead, Kensely’s focus shifts to the collegiate realm. Aspirations of exposure to college opportunities and eventual recruitment underscore Story’s dedication to advancing in the sport. Simultaneously, academic excellence remains a priority for Kensely, with a commitment to maintaining grades at an A or A- throughout the academic year.

In the unfolding chapters of Kensley’s journey, she acknowledges the pivotal role played by her father, the foundational support that has nurtured her passion. With an unwavering determination to succeed in both academics and softball, this individual is poised to navigate the challenges and triumphs that lie ahead.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
