Alisa Sneed and Khamari Hall Recognized for the TFL’s Players Spotlight for February

The Texas Fastpitch League (TFL) is excited to spotlight two athletes in our Alliance Player Recognition Program, Alisa Sneed and Khamari Hall. Sneed and Hall, both members of Texas Riptide 14U, have been recognized in the TFL’s Players Spotlight for February based on their league performances this past month.

In her team’s 15 games, Sneed recorded 20 hits, 5 of which were home runs. She added 24 runs, had 17 RBIs, and 24 stolen bases. At the plate, the Conroe, Texas native hit .513 and boasted an impressive .949 slugging percentage.

“Alisa is a blend of 5-tool talent with off the charts athleticism,” said Texas Riptide 14U Head Coach Sam Campbell. “She is a student of the game and excels both on and off the field. On the field she can play any position but is without a doubt the best CF around. She covers more ground than anyone I’ve seen in over 10 years. Oh, and run on her if you dare. She is simply top of the class.”

“I started playing softball when I was eight years old,” Alisa recalls. “I would play with Texas Riptide here and there while also playing baseball. When I was ten, I finally started playing full-time. My parents encouraged me to start my softball career because baseball wasn’t a long-term dream. From then on, I was sold on softball!”

In the team’s 15 games, Khamari Hall had 27 hits, 2 of which were home runs. At the plate, Hall recorded a .614 batting average with a slugging percentage of .955. She added 23 runs and 12 RBIs, in addition to 21 stolen bases.

“Khamari is a 5-tool athlete and an opposing team’s worst nightmare,” Campbell says on his outfielder. “ She can square up and hit the long ball at the lead-off position. Once on base, she is the best at advancing and putting pressure on the opposition. She is part of the most talented outfield around, and she can move to the infield and shut down the small game. It is truly an honor to coach such a talented young lady.”

“I started playing softball at age five,” the League City, Texas native says on her start in the sport. “Two of my older cousins played, and I loved to watch them- I wanted to play like them. I started league ball at 6U, and soon after the 8U season began, I transitioned to my first select softball team.”

Congratulations to Alisa Sneed and Khamari Hall from Texas Riptide 14U for being recognized as the TFL’s Players of the Month for February. The Texas Fastpitch League will continue to recognize Players of the Month across all age divisions this season. To be eligible for a Player of the Month honor, teams must score their games with AGL so their stats can be recorded and pulled in our monthly reports.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Starting this Spring, each League will name a Player of the Month for different age divisions.

Registered Alliance Fastpitch players will be placed in a pool based on verified stats from AthletesGoLive (AGL). AthletesGoLive(AGL) will run monthly reports and submit to the player selection committee for each League.  Additionally, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches will have the opportunity to submit a player for consideration. Committee members will review verified stats and consider coach feedback to name League Players of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so her stats are considered in the monthly reports.
