Kolopa Joey Pua, a versatile player for Batbusters Shumaker, excels in the infield—shortstop. Her July stats include a .658 batting average, a .650 OBP, 1 homerun, 2 triples, 8 doubles 14 singles, 14 RBIs, and 8 stolen bases.

Kolopa Joey Pua’s softball journey begins on the fields where she watches her older cousins and sister play. They inspire her to take up the sport, and at just five years old, her mom signs her up for her first team, the Pink Panthers. From the beginning, Kolopa loves the game, especially the camaraderie she shares with her closest friends on the field.

A cherished memory for Kolopa is when she makes her first All-Star team at 8U. It’s a special season, filled with fun and bonding with her “softball sisters,” a group of friends who quickly become like family.

Kolopa’s favorite softball player is Tiare Jennings, a player she looks up to for both her skill and spirit on the field. Off the field, Kolopa enjoys spending time with her family. Softball has taken up much of her time, but she tries to be with them as much as possible, valuing those moments of connection.

Kolopa’s current goals include excelling in school by managing her time effectively and keeping her grades up. For softball, she strives for consistency in everything she does, from her performance on the field to her approach to the game. What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
