Emma Romeka Named Alliance National Player of the Month for September

Emma Romeka

The Alliance Fastpitch proudly announces Emma Romeka (2025) from the PCFL as National Player of the Month for her remarkable play in September 2024. Emma Romeka, a versatile player for OC Batbusters Romeka, excels in multiple positions—third base and pitching. Her September stats include a .385 batting average, a .467 OBP, 1 double, 4 singles, and 1 RBI. Through 26 innings pitched, she had 23 strikeouts, and a 1.35 ERA.

Emma Romeka’s softball journey is deeply woven into her life’s fabric, with nearly every cherished memory tied to the sport and the people who share it with her. She’s been part of a close-knit team since the 10U days, and the bond with her teammates is stronger than ever. Her catcher, who has been by her side since 8U All Stars, is one of the many friends she considers family. One of Emma’s favorite experiences is traveling to Colorado for the Sparkler, where the team stays in hotels and Airbnbs together, spending time bonding and enjoying a “softball vacation” with her best friends. She also fondly recalls a memorable overnight tournament in Arizona, where the championship game took place around 2:30 a.m. Despite being delirious from lack of sleep, the moment of taking that championship ring photo made it all worth it.

A standout moment in Emma’s career is when she and her teammates had the chance to work with Monica Abbott just before the COVID shutdowns. The experience left a lasting impact on her, inspiring Emma to push through the challenging months that followed. Another player who inspires Emma is Jordy Bahl, a fellow pitcher with whom she shares a strong Christian faith. Emma admires Jordy’s courage, particularly the decision Jordy made to prioritize her own well-being and head back home, despite what others might have expected or understood.

Emma has two major goals this year. One is focused on her recruitment, as she narrows down her options and refines her criteria to find the right fit. The other is dedicated to sharpening her skills—making small, impactful changes to elevate her game at this level. Off the field, she’s focused on surviving the rigor of junior year, a challenging academic year where she is committed to maintaining a high GPA while honoring her responsibilities and commitments. The Alliance Fastpitch commends Emma Romeka on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal and athletic growth.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
