The Alliance Fastpitch is honored to recognize Ashley Dowling (2031) as the May National Player of the Month. Dowling, representing the NWFL, is a versatile second baseman and shortstop whose softball prowess is not limited to defense. In May, the skilled righty accumulated a .627 batting average with a .698 on base percentage. In 51 at bats, Dowling dinged seven doubles, three triples, and three home runs, accumulating a massive 17 RBIs.

Dowling wears multiple jerseys, proudly representing both Crossfire Fastpitch-Dowling and West Valley Little League. In 2024, that second jersey took her somewhere unforgettable—onto the dirt at the Little League World Series.

Gratitude runs deep for Dowling, who thanks her mom for inspiring her to play and Joel Oliver for helping her grow as an athlete through training at Reps Hitting Facility.

Skylar Wallace, a Florida Softball alum and accomplished middle infielder, serves as the player Dowling most looks to emulate. Outside of softball, Dowling enjoys swimming and hanging out with her friends.

Dowling aims to acquire an opportunity to play high level collegiate softball. The Alliance Fastpitch commends Dowling on her well-deserved recognition as Player of the Month, acknowledging her outstanding contributions to the sport and her commitment to personal and athletic growth.

What is the Alliance Fastpitch Player Recognition Program?

The Player Recognition Program was built to recognize and spotlight our individual players in each Member League. Each month, registered Alliance Fastpitch coaches can nominate a player from their age division. League Leadership will review nominations and a monthly stats report from AthletesGoLive (AGL) to determine the League’s Player of the Month.

Following the announcement of each League’s Players of the Month, the Alliance Fastpitch will recognize a National Player of the Month. To be considered for Player of the Month, your team must score League games in AGL so your stats will be included in the League’s monthly report.
