When not playing softball, I enjoy playing other recreational sports, shopping, baking, traveling, and hanging out with my friends and family.

Since the beginning of my softball career, it was my goal to play at a big Division I school. When I attended the Iowa State camp, it wasn’t only a big school, but they had a coaching staff that I loved and a positive team atmosphere. They had the perfect program for my major, and a smaller college town felt like home. Immediately following the camp, I knew it was the right fit for me.

I don’t think there is a specific athlete that I try to model my game after. Rather, I watch many athletes, decipher their strengths, and try to find ways to integrate those into my game.

When the time comes to hang up my cleats, I hope my character stands out to people more than my statistics. I want to be remembered as someone who is unselfish, a hard worker, but above all, a great teammate.
