Notre Dame

I chose to commit to Notre Dame because of the coaching staff. They truly care about you as a person just as much as they do as a player and they are the kindest supportive people you’ll ever meet so I knew right away they were the coaches I wanted to play for. I think the academic side of things at Notre Dame will challenge me as well and help me become not only a better athlete at Notre Dame but better student.

My favorite softball role model growing up would be Jenna Simon. She played softball at the same highschool as me and went on to play at Notre Dame as well. She was an amazing athlete but an even better person. I always looked up to her and wanted to be just like her so having the opportunity to play for Notre Dame just like she did is an honor and I couldn’t be more excited!

Both my parents played baseball/softball at Purdue Fort Wayne and that is currently where my older sister is playing collegiate softball at. I have also grown up playing for my parents throughout travel ball. The past 4 Years of highschool I have been coached by my Mother and Father as well.

I want to be known as the player who leads by example. I want people to remember me as the hardest worker in the room and someone who is always pushing others to become the best versions of themselves. But above all I want to be remember as a good person on and off the field, to be remembered as someone who was kind and supportive and only wanted the best for others. I think that is the best legacy that I could leave in softball.

I have grown up playing alongside both my sisters. My older sister was a pitcher and I always loved having her next to me on the field. She has been one of my biggest supporters and role models and she has taught me so much. I currently playing high school ball with my younger sister who is learning how to play third base, so getting to help teach her and be with her for my last year of highschool is so special. I have really cherished every moment that I’ve been able to play alongside my sisters. They are my best friends and I will miss all the time we spent on the field with each other.
