Because I loved the atmosphere the coaches and the team have and for the prestigious academic side of it as well

My older sister because she would practice with me all the time and I got to watch her play all over the country

Both parents grew up in Chicago & raised me and my siblings to play all different sports like soccer, basketball, volleyball, and football

I want my legacy to be someone who worked very hard and always was happy with a smile on her face

People who know me would probably describe my personality as lighthearted and goofy and I think this story of how I showed up to my current teams tryouts freshman year portrays it perfectly. I went with one of my childhood best friends Jasmyn Trigueros and she came in very professional with everything matching, her shirt tucked in etc. I pulled up in a pink and green tie dye shirt, had it untucked while wearing no belt and socks that did not go with my chosen color scheme lol. My team still trolls me about it till this day saying they couldn’t believe that I was actually pretty good after seeing the outfit I was in.
