Alliance Fastpitch is committed to creating a safe, trusted environment for every athlete. Through our partnerships with Players Health and Ankored, Alliance membership includes participant insurance for athletes, along with required background checks and athlete safety training for coaches. These safeguards help protect players, support coaches, and ensure teams can compete with confidence throughout the season.
Team insurance for youth softball teams is covered when an Alliance registered team has a minimum of nine (9) players on their Alliance Fastpitch roster - this means that a minimum of nine players have registered and paid for the current Alliance Fastpitch season.
Participant insurance through Players Health covers a team during practice and competitions, including Alliance Fastpitch national events, Alliance League championships and the majority of youth softball tournaments listed on League schedules.
Players Health Insurance for Teams
Alliance Athlete Membership includes participant insurance provided through Players Health, the Official Athlete Safety Partner.
Once a team has a minimum of nine registered players on their Alliance Fastpitch roster, head coaches may request a Certificate of Insurance (COI) from the Alliance by emailing [email protected].
- Coverage applies to all rostered players who have registered and paid for their Alliance membership.
- This insurance is accepted at the majority of tournaments within League Schedules and at all Alliance National Events.
NOTE: Some tournaments and associations may require additional coverage or additional documentation, so coaches are encouraged to confirm requirements directly with the tournament host.
Team insurance coverage at Alliance Fastpitch National Events is covered through your membership. Full membership (team, athlete and coaches) is required for Alliance Fastpitch national events (AFCS, AFON, Super Cup Qualifiers and Finals) which ensures your team is covered through Players Health insurance.
Adding Additional Insured to your COI
If you need to request a Certificate of Insurance (COI) and/or add an additional insured please email [email protected].
Note: some facilities and tournaments may require you to add them as an additional insured to your team COI.
Filing an Insurance Claim

Ankored - Coaches Background Screening and Athlete Safety Training
Ankored is the compliance platform for Alliance coaches to access their background check and athlete safety training courses (Abuse Prevention training and concussion training). Background screenings and athlete safety training courses by Ankored are included in the annual Alliance Membership for coaches.
COACH REQUIREMENTS:
The Alliance Fastpitch requires all coaches in national events (AFCS, AFON, Super Cup Series, and Regional Championships) to have completed their background screening, Abuse Prevention training and concussion training before the start of the tournament.
*Note: Some tournament associations may require coaches to complete a separate background screening and training as part of their associations or sanctioning body requirements. The Alliance encourages coaches to check with those tournament providers.
HOW TO ACCESS:
Once a coach registers with the Alliance Fastpitch, how does he/she complete their background screening and training courses?
- A link will be sent by Ankored Support to each coach who registers with The Alliance Fastpitch within one week of your registration.
- This link from Ankored will have instructions for the coach on how to activate and manage individual requirements such as background check, abuse prevention training, and concussion training.
- If you have not received a link to Ankored please contact [email protected].
