Rules

Afcs Event Format

  • AFCS Regionals (Day 1 & Day 2):

    • 16 Brackets -- 4 Teams per bracket (5 Teams at the 14U, 16U & 18U Tier II), matchups determined by national seeds
    • Double Elimination Format
    • Winners advance to Super Regionals
    • All non-winners advance to the Qualifying “Q” Bracket 

  • AFCS Super Regionals (Day 3)

    • 8 Brackets -- 2 Teams per bracket, matchups determined by national seeds
    • Best 2 out of 3 Format 
    • Winners advance to Elite 8 
    • Losing team finishes in an 8 team tie for 9th Place 

  • AFCS Elite 8 (Day 4 & Day 5)

    • 2 Brackets - 4 Teams per bracket determined by overall seeds
    • Double Elimination Format
    • Winner of each bracket advances to the AFCS National Championship Series
    • Losing teams finish 3rd to 8th Place 

  • AFCS National Championship Series (Day 6)

    • Final 2 teams
    • Best 2 out of 3 Series Format

  •  AFCS Qualifying “Q” Bracket (Days 3 - 6) 

    • All non-winners from Regionals move to the Q Bracket
    • Double Elimination Format 
    • Winner finishes in 17th place & earns berth in Alliance Cup Series.
