NEFL Spotlight: Raegan Bills Makes LLSWS History
Interview and Story by Olivia Roberto
When the final out was recorded in Greenville, North Carolina, history was made. With poise in the circle and confidence at the plate, Reagan Bills of Team Pennsylvania Larcinese 12u delivered her home state’s first Little League Softball World Series (LLSWS) championship since 1978.
For Bills, the hero of the tournament and a member of the Alliance Fastpitch Northeast League (NEFL), the moment was the culmination of relentless dedication and the support of a community that believes in creating opportunities for every athlete.
Bills’ impact on the LLSWS was undeniable. She had an ERA of 0.00 and batting average of .545 providing the spark that carried her team to the championship. That same excellence has defined her season within the Alliance:
- Top 100 National Pitching Leaders (Alliance Rankings)
- Top 100 National Hitting Leaders
- #5 Nationally in ERA
- May 2025 NEFL Player of the Month
- 2025 Alliance Super Cup All-Tournament Team
At just 12 years old, Bills has already proven herself as a rare dual-threat athlete, equally dangerous in the circle and at the plate. Her journey reflects the Alliance’s core values of access, opportunity, development, and community, showing how the right environment can open doors, push athletes to grow, and surround them with support.
Coach Larcinese, praised Reagan’s growth and determination: “Reagan is extremely competitive. She’s a great teammate, always backing up her team, always helping, and she has never said anything negative. She actually tried out for us in the past and didn’t make it, but a year later she came back, and we took her on—and she jumped right on the opportunity.”
For Reagan, the chance to compete at the LLSWS and within the Alliance has been both motivating and inspiring. “Ever since I was little, I loved watching softball. I started playing when I was five, and that’s when I really fell in love with the game.”
Beyond her achievements, Reagan’s story highlights how the Alliance helps athletes grow through competition, recognition, and community. Through programs like the Alliance Player Recognition Program, athletes like Reagan have a platform that showcases their stats, awards, and profiles—allowing their hard work to be seen and celebrated.
“It means a lot to me to represent my community and bring home a win with Team PA. We compete at such a high level in travel ball, and I’m proud to be part of that.”
As she continues to shine on both the local and national stage, Reagan Bills is not just making history, she’s inspiring the next generation of athletes who dare to dream big. “My goal is to play Division I softball for a top college program; I want to keep pushing myself on and off the field.” As she continues to shine on both the local and national stage, Reagan Bills is not just making history, she’s inspiring the next generation of athletes who dare to dream big.
