Winning the PGF National Championship in 2013 with my daughter, niece, and all the players and coaches we had on that team. It was a very special bunch of players and families that ended up staying together as a team until they graduated and moved on to college.

Biography

Sports background
Brian was a three sport athlete in High School playing Football, Soccer, and Baseball. Selected and played for the USA under 18U baseball team where they toured and played Professional teams in Australia.

Softball Background
Brian started coaching his daughter Emily in Rec softball in 2010. After a year of Rec Brian moved into travel ball and coaching the SM Blaze Team with his brother. From that point forward in 2010, Brian formed the Gamers Academy Inc, now know as Athletics Mercado Academy. Brian has coached and managed teams in every age group as well as coaching High School teams for Great Oak, and Temecula Valley High. In 2013 PGF allowed for 12U teams to attend and Brian’s So Cal Athletics TO team won the first National Title for the Gamers Academy program. Since then Brian, Mercado and their program have won 4 additional PGF National Championships. The element of focus for Brian in this sport is the daily teaching, the elevated development and personal mentorship of his athletes

Business Background
Started with H&M Construction at age 20 once out of college, and was employed for 20 years starting as a laborer, and working into the VP of Operations. In 2010 and for 12 years, as Executive VP, developed and managed Crownco Inc. a construction company that serviced Southern California . In 2010 the Gamers Academy Inc. was formed and as President along with my partner David Mercado opened the doors for our first facility and travel softball teams. We started our Academy with two teams, and now serve over 60 teams Nationwide under the Athletics Mercado Academy.

Family Background
Born in Indiana, raised in San Marcos Ca. along with one older brother, and 7 younger sisters. Met my wife Melissa in middle school, dated and later married. We have two children Emily, junior and playing softball at Utah State, and Ethan, a 14 year old playing travel football, and basketball.
