Great school/engineering program, most beautiful campus, the city has all 4 seasons (rare in HTX), love the Auburn community, awesome coaching staff/returning players, stacked commit class, always wanted to be part of the SEC, far enough from home while not being too far, great alumni network for finding a job after school
Baylee Klingler; we both hit with KC Jackson before she left for college so we have similar swings; I like her approach to the plate because she is very selective and waits for the pitcher to make a mistake and capitalizes on it; she’s one of the biggest hitting/defensive threats; she is very muscular while still having great athleticism/footwork in the infield; we have very similar personalities; I love how easy going she is and how she openly prioritizes mental health which is something that I feel is lacking in sports.
My dad (Ron Ellis) played football for Rice University My sister (Emily Ellis) also played for Impact Gold under Coach KC and we both wore the number 77 My mom (Molly Ellis) is the team cheerleader and claims that we only lose when she is not in the stands singing and dancing for us
I want to be the hitter that pitchers fear most to face in games, the hitter that they imagine is in the box when practicing, the hitter that can hit every pitch thrown her way.
When I was a freshman, my mom was diagnosed with 3 different types of cancer. She told me late in the school year and things got really hard during the summer when I was in season. There was one tournament in Oklahoma where my team was not getting along at all because of some fight that started during warmups. We were about to play our first bracket game against one of our biggest competitors. I brought everyone together, coaches players etc, and just started talking about how this team was my family and explained a little bit of what was happening with my mom (I never really shared much about it). My mom wasn’t able to be at that tournament because she was starting to get really sick. I told my teammates about how much my mom wanted to be there and how we needed to dedicate this tournament to her. After things got a little deep and a few of us started to cry, we all decided to move past that dumb argument and work together to win it all for my mom. We went on to win that game and were undefeated champions. That ended up being the tournament that brought me into the spotlight because I hit 7 home runs in 10 games of our biggest tournament of the 14u season (other than nationals). My mom said it made her entire year. Three years later, she has beat all 3 cancers and is doing better than she has in the past 10 years. I love you mom!!
