University of Louisville
When I stepped on campus, Louisville felt like home. The state of Kentucky, the city of Louisville, and its people have such a rich history and culture, and it made me feel at home. The way the university supports their students and athletes will support me in my goals of competing for a national championship and getting an amazing education.
Kobe Bryant; Kobe was a master at editing his life and that’s what I do. I edit my life to be great at my craft. I outwork everyone and I love the grind of getting better.
My Dad writes and sings country and western music. He also competed on Nashville Star against Miranda Lambert. My Mom works in the organ and tissue donation industry helping people with all sorts of medical innovations. It also makes for the strangest dinner table conversations ever. My little brother is one of the sweetest, kindest people you’ll ever meet. He also talks more than anyone on the planet, ever.
I want to be remembered as one of the greatest competitors to ever play this game. I want to be remembered not only as great player but also as a great teammate. Softball has taught me so much and given me so many great opportunities. I want to leave this game better than I found it for the next generation. It is my goal to positively affect the life of every young softball players that I can.
At my preschool continuation ceremony I proudly proclaimed to the audience that I wanted to be a checker at a local grocery store when I grew up. My grandpa would take me to that store everyday and we would pick something out. It was not long after that my Dad’s mantra for me became, the smartest kid wins. I graduated with honors and a 4.7197 GPA and plan to study Bio Engineering on my way to becoming a Cardiothoracic surgeon.
