Is there an athlete you try to model your game after? If so, what athlete and how?
I’ve heard to many stories about my Papa playing Major League Baseball in Guam. He was a shortstop with ridiculous range and fluid motion. Not to mention a phenomenal bat and lots of speed. He played with passion and leadership and that’s what I strive to be.
Fun family facts!
My parents traveled and played a lot of amateur adult slow pitch softball when I was a baby through the age of 7, when I joined travel softball. I saw pics of when I was a toddler and I would sit in my stroller in the dugout while they were on the field. My cousin Jaylene played softball for San Diego State University.
What do you want your legacy to be in softball?
The person who plays every game for their team and to represent the Polynesian culture.
A story of me
I’ve been coached by Coach Dave and Coach Mark, along with Coach Brian who has somewhat retired from the game, since I started travel ball at the age of 7. Coach Dave also coached me in high school for 2 years.
