The 2024 All-Star Watch List features standouts from each of the nine member leagues within the Alliance Fastpitch. Leading the charge is the Texas Fastpitch League (TFL) with the Texas Bombers and Texas Glory organizations boasting over 35 senior athletes on the Watch List. The Pacific Coast Fastpitch League’s (PCFL) OC Batbusters and reigning back-to-back National Champions has 15 seniors on the Watch List and the Southeastern Fastpitch League’s (SEFL) Fury Platinum, a 3rd place finisher at the AFCS, is represented by 14 seniors.
Athletes on the Watch List represent multiple DI college signees including representation from all Power 5 conferences. The Southeastern Conference (SEC) claims the lion’s share of committed athletes among the Power 5 conferences, with 13 Watch List athletes committed to play at a SEC school next Fall.
Watch List Selection Process
The rigorous All-Star athlete selection process begins with the unveiling of the 2024 All-Star Watch List. The creation of the Watch List is led by a national selection committed spearheaded by Derek Allister, co-founder of OnDeck Softball. Derek works with representatives from each Member League and works with other industry leaders to identify the top 2024 athletes. The Watch List is open to all high school seniors, irrespective of their team affiliation or membership within the Alliance.
All-Star Team Selections
Following the All-Star Watch List announcement, the national selection committee will narrow the list down and name League All-Star teams for each of the nine Member League.
Athletes must be registered with the Alliance Fastpitch to be eligible for League All-Star teams. To register for the Alliance Fastpitch, visit member.thealliancefastpitch.com. This list will be announced Spring 2024.
The pinnacle of the All-Star journey culminates with the announcement of the final Alliance All-Star Team. The top 40 seniors in the Alliance Fastpitch will be named 2024 All-Stars and will be divided into two teams – Alliance American and Alliance National. The Alliance All-Star Teams will be officially revealed in June 2024.
The Alliance All-Star Game is our marquee event for high school seniors. The Game is strategically aligned with the 16U & 18U Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series (AFCS). This convergence allows the top 40 high school seniors from around the country to compete before a national audience onsite and on air. The athletes will be split into two team – Alliance National and Alliance American. The two teams will compete in a 7-inning exhibition game the evening before AFCS competition begins. Last year the two teams competed in a 3-1 thriller in front of a sold-out crowd at Cal State Fullerton. The All-Star Game selection process begins with this initial Watch List.
Alliance All-Star Alumni include Nijaree Canaday, the 2023 National Freshman of the Year, and NCAA All American and Freshman of the Year Finalists such as Megan Grant, D’Auna Jennings, Bri Ellis, Emma Lemley and Cydney Sanders.
