The initial recipient of the OnDeck Softball x Alliance Player of the Month is McLaine Hudson. A 2026 SS, from Kentucky on the Louisville Lady Sluggers Wathen. Attended the 2023 OnDeck Softball National Elite Camp prior to the Alliance Fastpitch Championship Series and earning a 5 star rating.

At the OnDeck National Elite Camp, McLaine made her national debut in front of a huge contingent of college coaches. She ran. She hit. She threw. And she did it all superbly. McLaine’s ODM® numbers established her as a high level athlete with a high major college upside. An Allister Index of 101.29 put her at #12 Nationally in all classes – 2024 to 2029.

McLaine also attended the Team USA HPP camp in November 2023. At stake was a roster spot on the 18U National Team. Most of the selection committee were focused on the highly talented group of 2025. But McLaine, despite being a year younger, simply stood out. The athleticism. The skill sets. The competitive nature. All were evident as the 400+ players worked out and competed in games. In the end McLaine became one of the youngest members of the 2024 Team USA Jr. National Team that will compete in the WBSC U-18 Women’s Softball World Cup Group Stage later this year. It is a fitting moment in the rise to stardom for this uniquely talented young player. This is going to be a good story for years to come.
